Know your preferred vertical

There are so many avenues to explore in the creative world. Graphic design, UX/UI, Marketing and more! Maybe you’ve dabbled into more than one concentration, that’s great! You’ll bring key knowledge to a team. But, as you start out applying for positions, it’s helpful to know what you are targeting. Maybe you know where you want to be in 5 or 10 years. Map that back and create a best path to get there. Or maybe you just want to try things out that fall within the creative industry- be confident in that and let your confidence shine through as you apply and interview for jobs.

Build a portfolio

If you haven’t already, it’s extremely important to build your online portfolio. Whether that is writing samples, website designs or apps that you’ve created, showcase your portfolio in a clean and clear way for potential hiring managers or recruiters to review.
