Scion Technology is seeking a strategic and experienced Director of IT to lead IT operations and enterprise transformation for a successful and growing manufacturer in Woodland, CA. In this role, you’ll utilize your technical expertise and leadership acumen to oversee all IT operations, ensuring that technology is digitally modernized, secure, and utilized in the most efficient way!

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define and execute the organization's IT and digital transformation strategy in alignment with business goals.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to identify and implement technology-driven improvements for operational efficiency and customer experience.
  • Lead and develop the IT department, promoting a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Oversee IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, data management, and compliance with industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, J Sox).
  • Drive enterprise-wide digital initiatives, including CRM, supply chain optimization, and data analytics.
  • Manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources and alignment with strategic priorities.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to cross-functional teams, integrating technology solutions across departments.
  • Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies relevant to the agriculture industry for competitive advantage.
  • Build and maintain strong vendor relationships, negotiating contracts and managing service delivery.
  • Lead IT project management efforts, ensuring quality, timeliness, and budget adherence.
  • Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Foster IT-business alignment by acting as a liaison between technical teams and business units.
  • Promote customer-centric technology solutions that directly impact customer outcomes.
  • Guide talent development within the IT team, driving a shift toward strategic IT-business partnerships.
  • Provide regular updates to senior leadership on IT performance, risks, and strategic alignment.
Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of IT experience with 2+ years in a senior leadership role (director, IT department head, etc)
  • Proven background in digital transformation and IT strategy
  • Strong technical knowledge in cloud platforms, ERP/CRM systems, and cybersecurity
  • Effective communicator with a track record of cross-functional collaboration and business alignment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field (Master’s or certifications are pluses)
