Scion Technology has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for an experienced IT Help Desk Technician for our client, a wonderful educational science center organization in Seattle! In this role, you’ll help ensure that desktop computers, applications, printers, and other related technologies are up to date and maintained, as well as troubleshoot and resolve any issues! This is a Contract to Hire position, onsite in Seattle!

What you will be doing:
- Provide end-user support for computers and devices, including installation, configuration, and testing of systems and peripherals.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity on wireless and wired networks
- Train and orient staff on hardware and software usage to ensure effective technology adoption.
- Maintain IT records, ticketing logs, and documentation to support issue resolution and system tracking.
- Install and configure desktop computers, peripherals, and software in alignment with established standards.
- Assist with physical setup of data center equipment, including cabling and hardware installation.
- Support seamless desktop integration with servers, conferencing systems, and enterprise applications.
- Collaborate with vendors as needed to troubleshoot and resolve hardware or software issues.
What you will need:
- 1–2 years of experience in end-user support, desktop services, IT support roles
- Proficient in hardware troubleshooting and installation, with hands-on experience configuring Windows OS and application software.
- Familiar with networking components and Active Directory.
- Strong working knowledge of Windows 7, 10/11, and macOS setup and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Active Directory Services, and Microsoft Deployment Toolkit.
- Comfortable supporting mobile platforms (iOS, Android).
- Basic understanding of Microsoft System Center Suite (Service Manager, SCOM, SCCM)
- CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, and knowledge of ITIL practices is preferred.
- May require occasional evening/weekend work
