This is a dynamic, direct-hire, hybrid opportunity based in New York City that is ideal for a strategic and creative leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and is energized by event execution and brand-building.

In this pivotal role, you will lead and execute the organization's special events portfolio and external marketing strategy, generating approximately $2 million annually in support of the mission. Your work will directly influence donor engagement, brand visibility, and long-term revenue growth while amplifying the powerful impact of the organization's educational programs.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead, manage, and expand a comprehensive special events portfolio, including annual galas and peer-to-peer fundraising campaigns.
  • Identify opportunities for new event formats and audiences, including cause-marketing partnerships and regionally tailored experiences.
  • Set and track revenue targets, manage event budgets, and ensure all fundraising goals are met or exceeded.
  • Oversee event logistics, vendor coordination, sponsorship fulfillment, and attendee engagement from planning through execution.
  • Supervise staff responsible for peer-to-peer fundraising campaigns and provide seasonal event support.
  • Drive corporate sponsorship solicitation and fulfillment efforts, ensuring high-value partner experiences.
  • Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive marketing and communications strategy across all external channels.
  • Manage content development for digital platforms, including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and organizational website.
  • Oversee brand development, digital campaigns, and promotional materials for events and initiatives.
  • Draft speeches, scripts, and event communications for organizational leadership and stakeholders.
  • Execute email marketing campaigns and manage creative development through various digital tools.
  • Coordinate press outreach, media engagement, and public relations activities as needed.
  • Serve as a frontline ambassador at events, engaging with donors, corporate partners, and community stakeholders.
  • Partner with internal teams to maintain brand consistency, maximize exposure, and create compelling event experiences.

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, event management, and marketing roles.
  • Demonstrated success in planning and executing high-impact fundraising events such as galas and large peer-to-peer campaigns.
  • Experience with corporate sponsorships and donor cultivation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Nonprofit Management, or related field.
  • Strong written communication skills, including speechwriting, content creation, and event scripting.
  • Proficiency in Canva, Constant Contact (or similar platforms), major social media channels, CRM systems, and peer-to-peer fundraising tools.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently.
  • Skilled in creative problem-solving and critical thinking, with a collaborative approach and strong performance under pressure.
  • Willingness to work occasional nights and weekends for events.

Compensation:
This role offers a competitive annual salary range of $95,000–$105,000, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your health, financial security, and work-life balance. The package includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401k plan with employer contributions, twelve paid holidays, and six weeks of paid time off.
