Scion Technology has been engaged to conduct a search for a skilled QA Engineer on behalf of our client, a rapidly growing cloud-based hosting provider revolutionizing the game server space.
In this role, you’ll take ownership of quality assurance efforts across their platform—developing scalable, automated, and manual testing protocols to ensure high reliability and performance. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity.

Designing and implementing comprehensive QA strategies, including both automated and manual testing.
Collaborating with engineers to ensure new features meet functional and performance expectations.
Creating and executing test plans and cases across multiple development cycles.
Identifying and documenting bugs, system issues, and gaps in test coverage using tools like JIRA, Selenium, or Cypress.
Promoting and enforcing QA best practices across the development lifecycle.
Reporting on test results, release readiness, and quality metrics to stakeholders.
Supporting CI/testing pipelines in a fast-paced, agile development environment.
Hands-on experience in software QA, including test planning, case execution, and reporting.
Strong understanding of QA methodologies, frameworks, and automation tools.
Strong experience with PHPUnit, Pest, or a similar backend testing framework.
Experience with Playwright or a similar frontend testing framework.
Familiarity with Selenium, Cypress, TestRail, or related testing platforms.
Experience testing web technologies (JavaScript, Vue.js) and backend tools such as Laravel or PHP is a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work autonomously in a remote, distributed team.
Experience in Agile/Scrum workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
Familiarity with Git, Postman for API testing, and performance tools like JMeter.
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Passion for gaming, especially modded servers and the communities around them.
