Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Test Engineer for a pioneering technology partner specializing in secure communications and encryption solutions. This role is full-time and onsite in Del Mar, CA.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Test Engineer to play a key role in validating and ensuring the performance of secure WebRTC, high-speed encryption, and network interface card (NIC) products. In this role, you will design and execute test procedures, develop and maintain test cases, and collaborate closely with engineers to identify and resolve issues. This is a hands-on opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge networking and cybersecurity technologies in a supportive and collaborative team environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop, maintain, and execute test plans and test cases for encryption and secure networking products

• Perform hands-on functional and performance testing in complex systems environments

• Document test procedures, results, and issues with clarity and accuracy

• Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve defects

• Ensure product quality and reliability through rigorous testing practices

• Contribute to the improvement of testing methodologies and best practices

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proficiency in test engineering and test execution to support secure WebRTC and encryption products. 

• Experience in creating, maintaining, and running test cases

• Strong background in functional testing of complex systems

• Analytical problem-solving skills with attention to detail

• Excellent teamwork and communication skills

• Experience with networking and cybersecurity environments highly preferred

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

This position offers a competitive compensation range of $145-190k/yr, based on experience along with comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage.
