Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Head of Artificial Intelligence for an innovative and rapidly growing real estate finance and investment organization focused on operational excellence, technology modernization, and scalable business growth. This is a full-time onsite opportunity based in either New York, NY or Miami, FL.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

This executive-level leadership role will lead the organization’s enterprise AI strategy and transformation initiatives across lending, servicing, operations, and business platforms. The Head of Artificial Intelligence will partner closely with executive leadership to identify opportunities for automation, workflow optimization, and AI-driven operational improvements that create measurable business impact. This position is ideal for a strategic yet hands-on leader who enjoys building scalable solutions, driving innovation, and helping scale a rapidly growing organization through AI-enabled technologies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and lead the organization’s enterprise-wide AI strategy and implementation roadmap
• Evaluate existing business processes and identify opportunities for AI-driven automation and operational improvements
• Partner cross-functionally with business and technology leaders to implement scalable AI solutions
• Create strategic recommendations, implementation plans, and ROI-driven business cases for executive leadership
• Help modernize workflows, systems, and operational processes across multiple business functions
• Establish AI governance, best practices, and scalable frameworks to support long-term growth

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 8+ years of experience in AI, software engineering, digital transformation, enterprise technology, or related technical leadership roles
• Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• Proven experience leading enterprise AI initiatives, automation strategies, or large-scale technology transformation efforts within complex business environments
• Strong business acumen with the ability to assess operational inefficiencies, identify opportunities for improvement, and align technology initiatives with business objectives
• Hands-on technical background with knowledge of AI/ML technologies, workflow automation, cloud infrastructure, enterprise systems, and modern data environments
• Experience building roadmaps, evaluating build-versus-buy solutions, and driving implementation from strategy through execution
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership, technical teams, and non-technical stakeholders across the organization
