Scion Staffing's Technical Division is seeking a SmartHome Software Engineering Project Manager on behalf of our Fortune 500 partner in Lake Forest, CA. We're excited about this close partnership with a team contributing to the exciting Home Automation/Smart Products space!

In this role, you'll be working hands-on with a number of well-known enterprise-level products and brands. You'll be helping to shape the future of Smart Home products!

Although you'll have the stability of working with an established market leader, the engineering environment will be on the smaller side. You'll have the opportunity to make a significant contribution!

What you will be doing:

• Providing leadership and direction to our client’s mobile development team building out SmartHome lock applications
• Leading, managing and overseeing software development of next-gen electronic locks and mobile applications
• Working directly with third party and internal teams to ensure cohesive integration of mobile applications and firmware/hardware dependencies
• Laying out roadmap and action plans to identify and research new technology to deliver innovative designs on time and on budget

What you will need:

• Experience building out complex software products with firmware, hardware and or Bluetooth dependencies
• Great communication skills with the ability to translate highly technical concepts to a less technical audience and vice versa
• 3 – 5+ years as a software product manager, IoT environment is a bonus!
