Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a remote, five-month contract Nonprofit Marketing Administrative Assistant for our client, a growing nonprofit organization dedicated to providing mental health awareness amongst children and adults across the United States.
This role is perfect for a professional experienced in nonprofit marketing with a strong desire to be a part of a mission-focused team within an organization working to decrease the stigma against mental health! The Nonprofit Marketing Administrative Assistant will report to the Deputy Editor and assist website updates, social media post creation, and fundraising administrative tasks. This is a part-time, 16 to 24 hours per week, remote opportunity!

  • Aid in the creation of social media posts as well as other marketing and communication pieces
  • Monitor posts and marketing communications for comments and delete inappropriate material as needed.
  • Assist with tasks relating to different fundraising campaigns
  • Review e-newsletters to ensure complete functionality
  • Edit and proofread content for the program webpage and auto-generated captions
  • Manage marketing email box as well as email contacts
  • Provide membership support through the development of lists to create Member Spotlights
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Easily adaptable to new procedures and programs
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient computer knowledge with experience utilizing Microsoft 360 programs
  • Experience with social media programs such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Hootsuite
  • Professional experience in marketing/communications/fundraising is required
  • Prior experience in website management, utilization of Drupal is a plus
  • Associates Degree preferred
  • Graphic design experience is a bonus
  • Fluency in Spanish is encouraged
Compensation & Benefits
This position provides the opportunity to gain strong working experience at a progressive company in nonprofit, mental health services. This is a contract opportunity that starts at $26 to $32 an hour (depending on experience) and provides health benefits, and an additional 401k plan for long-term employees. Please note: companywide, a high number of Scion Staffing contract placements turn into permanent positions for motivated and professional employees.
