This full-time, hybrid senior leadership opportunity is for immediate hire at the organization’s headquarters in Eugene, Oregon.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Holt International seeks a charismatic, dynamic, and visionary leader with proven ability to execute digital marketing efforts, enhance brand experience, and ultimately optimize engagement across a wide array of global audiences. Reporting to the Chief Marketing & Development Officer, the Senior Director of Digital Growth and Brand Experience develops and maximizes internal and external constituent experience. A successful candidate will spearhead the progressive transition of new, complementary digital channels while maximizing Holt’s traditional brand management process to meet and exceed Holt’s double-digit fundraising growth objectives, fueling programs that positively impact the lives of children and families.

Partnering with Holt’s executive leadership team and key internal stakeholders, this role champions the strategy and implementation of social media and website messaging, as well as digital marketing campaigns to amplify demand creation, drive donor acquisition & retention, increase conversions (which includes donor solicitation), and drive increased audience awareness and engagement. Each day, this person will lead the team to ignite the Holt International brand through effective storytelling and the acceleration of day-to-day launch cadence across all branded properties to shape the donor and constituent experience, effectively communicating the goals and heart of Holt International's services.

ABOUT THE EUGENE AREA:
Eugene, Oregon is consistently ranked as one of the best places to live in Oregon and one of the best small cities in the United States. The Eugene/Springfield metropolitan area (population 266,000 and growing) is in a region noted for its dynamic quality of life and progressive cultural environment. Situated in the lush Willamette Valley, area residents routinely enjoy outdoor pursuits like hiking, cycling, rafting, and fishing, as well as convenient access to the arts, music, crafts, brewing, winemaking, and community-supported agriculture. Eugene is approximately 110 miles South of Portland, the state’s major metropolitan area, and within a short two-hour drive, you’ll find yourself enjoying the Pacific Coast (to the West) and the Cascade Mountains (to the East).

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Understand and maintain the mission’s vision in tone and design to steward Holt’s overall positive creative and brand experience, marketing, fundraising, and communications strategies. Foster end-to-end, story-led and data-informed constituent experiences across the organization’s communication platforms, ensuring consistency in messaging.
  • Optimize and integrate cross-channel marketing and engagement initiatives to assure the continued growth of Holt's Child Sponsorship acquisition, donor experience, brand building, communications, lead generation/qualification, conversion, retention, renewal, and overall funnel development to increase Holt’s revenue streams.
  • Originate insight-driven, cohesive content strategies and concepts, adhering to marketing and creative objectives throughout Holt’s social media, website, and digital and omni/direct channel marketing, as well as for the organization’s family recruitment/adoption and adoption services operations.
  • Utilize proven strategies to improve constituent engagement while identifying emerging digital trends in nonprofit marketing messaging. Articulate and implement strategic shifts to Holt’s core brand messaging to reflect their evolving strengths, brand positioning and future vision. Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies, leading the planning, execution, and measurement of experiments and conversion tests.
  • Leverage data to recruit families, donors, and new constituents more effectively by identifying and connecting with target audiences, including the development and dissemination of personas. Determine, develop, execute, track, and report on key performance indicators, as well as key objectives and results.
  • Oversee the creative, marketing and content development team in-house employees and contract-based resources to drive funnel growth, integration, and optimization in Holt’s Brand experience and offerings, maintaining philanthropic support through single, direct, omni-channel, major gifts, grants, foundations, and integrated efforts.
  • Supervise, motivate, and develop staff by setting clear expectations, providing ongoing performance feedback that recognizes accomplishments and challenges, delegating responsibilities, formulating training plans, soliciting feedback, monitoring goals, and conducting performance evaluations in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate closely with Holt’s fundraising operations, program leaders, editor, writers, and designers to ensure consistency in written and aesthetic messaging, including use of imagery, video, and web applications to improve Holt’s fundraising and fee-for-service revenue.
  • Partner closely with key organization stakeholders to craft and deliver integrated marketing, creative, and development programs that amplify awareness, drive acquisition, increase retention, and lift donations.
    Providing reports on the overall success and impact of Holt’s current messaging and communications strategy.
  • Contribute to a positive, productive work environment by exhibiting cooperative and effective work relationships, such as responding positively to challenges, assignments, inter, and intra departmental requests. Exist beyond the scope of your set responsibilities to aid in fulfilling organizational goals.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a focus in Marketing or Communications, required.
  • 7 years of experience in brand marketing, product marketing, fundraising, or related function, with 3 years of recent digital experience, required.
  • 3 years of recent team management experience with a proven emphasis on mentorship.
  • Recent experience with ad-spend/campaign budget oversight; proven ability to leverage
    acquisition dollars for the greatest impact and measuring down the funnel.
  • Intimately understanding of new web and CRM technology and techniques to improve the funnel experience.
  • Strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and touch points.
  • Ability to perform 5-10% domestic/international travel, as needed.
  • Capacity to sit, stand and use computer for up to 8 hours/day and lift up to 30 lbs.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
