Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Marketing and Communications Coordinator for our client, an amazing Nonprofit organization focused on providing support and services for homeless youth. This is an exciting Hybrid, Full-Time, Direct-Hire opportunity located in Washington, DC!

As the Marketing and Communications Coordinator, you will report to the Chief Development & External Affairs Officer and CEO and be responsible for the creation and management of communications content, brand strategies, and marketing initiatives. You will bring your design skills and creativity to create marketing materials that align with the organization’s mission and brand!  

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide strategic direction and execution of all internal and external communications
  • Develop and maintain organization’s branding and visual identity guidelines
  • Create and update presentations, web content, brochures, fact sheets, signage, newsletters, and social media content
  • Continuously explore, recommend, utilize, and optimize communication methods and technologies to engage with various targeted audiences
  • Oversee art direction, storyboarding, and message development for creative design work for various online and print ads, signage, and marketing materials
  • Manage the organization-wide communications strategies, initiatives, and projects, which will involve interfacing with multiple departments and Executive leadership
  • Leverage the organization’s social media presence and develop key messages that resonate with targeted audience segments such as funders, supporters, and youth


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 6+ years of Marketing and Communications experience
  • 3+ years of Design and Content Creation experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
  • Proficiency with Kindful is a plus!
  • This position with our client requires employees to report to work at a physical location. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

This exciting career opportunity allows you to work with a brilliant and thriving team!
