Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for a Hydrogeologist for our client, an established science and engineering firm dedicated to the providing strategic solutions to modern day challenges related to the environmental space! This full-time, direct-hire position is for immediate hire and works a hybrid schedule out of Portland, OR or Seattle, WA!
 
The Hydrogeologist will work in line with the investigation and remediation team to provide strategic support to clients on projects related to contaminated sediment as well as upland sites. The ideal candidate will be a team leader who enjoys efficient operations in order to meet deadlines in a timely manner. 

What you’ll be responsible for in this exciting role:
  • Utilizing state equivalent programs as well as groundwater resource evaluations to conduct and support remedial investigations
  • Leading strategic hydrogeologic and sediment investigations with relation to site characterization, sampling programs, and data analysis
  • Overseeing field sampling
  • Communicating findings and data to clients, staff, regulators, and stakeholders
  • Report writing on a technical level

What you can bring to the opportunity and organization:
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • At least 7+ years of experience in a related field to Hydrogeology
  • Proficiency in environmental field sampling development
  • Experience with sediment is a plus
  • Demonstrated progress towards or currently registered with a Geologist License or LHG
  • Client management skills
  • Advanced oral and written communications
  • 40 hour OSHA HAZWOPER Training Certification is a bonus
  • The desire to grow professionally amongst a team of inspiring and intelligent individuals 

This position with our client will require employees to work in office some days during the week. As a cautionary measure, our client asks all employees to be fully vaccinated by the date of hire. Compensation & Benefits:
This amazing opportunity offers a competitive salary in the $70,000 to $90,000 range and an amazing team to work with.
