Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for a passionate International Student Coordinator for our partner, a mission-driven organization dedicated to fostering global diplomacy and understanding through international student exchange programs. This Direct Hire position is full-time and fully remote!  

The International Student Coordinator will play a critical role in supporting our clients mission by leading local teams and ensuring the success of their assigned exchange programs. The International Student Coordinator will oversee the recruitment and onboarding of host families, manage program compliance, and serve as ambassadors of our clients mission and values.

What You Will Be Doing

Leadership and Oversight:
  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of Local Coordinators (LCs).
  • Provide ongoing guidance and support to LCs to ensure program success and adherence to the organizations standards.
  • Monitor program performance to meet mission goals and uphold U.S. State Department regulations.
Program Compliance and Administration:
  • Ensure all activities within the program align with the organizations internal protocols and U.S. State Department regulations governing international student exchange programs.
  • Oversee the placement process to maintain compliance and program quality.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for leadership regarding program operations.
Community Engagement:
  • Support LCs in identifying, recruiting, and screening quality host families.
  • Foster positive relationships between host families, and international students.
  • Address and resolve any issues that arise during the exchange program to ensure a positive experience for all participants.
Student and Host Family Support:
  • Collaborate with LCs to provide guidance and support to host families and international students throughout the program.
  • Serve as an escalation point for any challenges that cannot be resolved at the LC level.


What You Have to Offer
  • Demonstrated experience in leadership, team management, or program coordination, preferably in a cross-cultural or educational setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with diverse groups of people effectively.
  •  Ability to understand and apply regulatory guidelines, including U.S. State Department requirements for exchange programs.
  • Experience in international education, exchange programs, or related fields.
  • Familiarity with community outreach and host family recruitment.

Compensation & Additional Details
This direct hire opportunity offers a salary of $40,000 base salary to start, plus a monthly bonus of $100 per student you work with. Your base salary also depends on how many students are in your program and increases as the number of students does.
