Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for a Business Advising Associate for our client, a nonprofit organization committed to advancing economic opportunity through small business support. This is a remote opportunity, but must be based in California.

  • Salary: $55K - $75K annually, depending on experience

What you will be doing:

Partner Relationship Management:

  • Develop, manage, and nurture relationships with corporate, climate-focused, and community partners.
  • Support strategic initiatives with partners ensuring maximum engagement and impact, while also contributing to revenue generation.
  • Host and facilitate information sessions for current and prospective partners to strengthen and grow collaborations.
  • Act as a liaison between partners, small business owners, and advisors to ensure alignment with program goals and objectives.

Program Support:

  • Manage a small caseload of priority small business-owner mentorships, ensuring high-quality experiences and swift conversion of clients from referrals to mentorships.
  • Collaborate with the Associate Director to expand diverse advisor recruitment efforts, increasing mentor participation and engagement across various sectors.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities to enhance partner and participant experiences, improving overall satisfaction, retention rates, and program outcomes.
  • Provide feedback to enhance program processes and help the organization meet its mission-driven goals.

What you will need:

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in relationship management, partnership development, or public speaking
  • Bilingual in Spanish, Cantonese, Vietnamese, or Tagalog is preferred
  • Proven ability to build and nurture relationships with corporate, climate, and community stakeholders
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams
  • A passion for the mission to create an equitable economy and empower small businesses
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with a focus on empathy, collaboration, and experience managing hybrid teams
