Scion Technology has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for an experienced Junior Data Infrastructure Engineer (JDE) for our client, a fundamental valuation-based asset management firm in St. Louis, MO!

What you will be doing:
  • Build and Maintain Data Infrastructure Systems: Support data orchestration, distributed storage, and streaming infrastructure while ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.

  • Provide End-User Support: Deliver enterprise application and technical support to end users in person and remotely, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.

  • Manage Technical Issues: Identify, diagnose, and resolve hardware, software, and service issues directly or in partnership with external IT service providers.

  • Proactive and Reactive Support: Address critical issues promptly and offer proactive solutions to business units.

  • System Monitoring and Maintenance: Oversee infrastructure configuration, patching, automation, hardening, and system upgrades to maintain uptime, reliability, and security.

  • Vendor and Partner Collaboration: Liaise with third-party vendors and IT providers to meet specific technical requirements.

Policy and Procedure Documentation: Document, track, and enforce IT policies and procedures.


???????What you will need:

  • Education and Experience:

    • BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a relevant field required.
    • Minimum of two years’ experience in Cloud Infrastructure and systems integration.
    • Experience in System Administration and Enterprise IT project management is preferred.
  • Technical Skills:

    • Familiarity with Synapse data pipelines and integration techniques for efficient data transformation and storage.
    • Knowledge of API integration and automation workflows.
    • Proficiency in PowerShell, Python, and basic understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git).
    • SQL database management, including advanced queries, performance optimization, and database integration.
    • Hands-on experience with data analytics tools like Domo, Power BI, or Tableau.
  • Additional Qualifications:

    • Experience with networking hardware/software, including switches, firewalls, and LAN/WAN, is a plus.
    • Comfortable with ambiguity and rapid change in a dynamic environment.
    • Highly organized with the ability to multitask effectively.
    • Passion for learning and sharing knowledge with others clearly and concisely.
