Scion Technical has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for an experienced Pricing Data Analyst for our client, a wonderful consumer goods organization in Carson, CA! In this role, you’ll work in partnership with operational and merchandising teams to evaluate forecasting, identify pricing inputs/rules, and work to set a pricing strategy that will meet/exceed the performance goals. The ideal candidate will have exceptional data analytics expertise (particularly SQL data mining) and will have experience with pricing data in a retail environment. This is a full time, direct hire opportunity with a hybrid schedule!

Compensation range is $120-140k, depending on experience
What you will be doing:
Data mining and testing pricing rule scenarios and effectiveness
Analyze consumer behavior reactions to pricing strategies for optimization of pricing execution in multiple categories (channel, brand, market, customer segment)
Work with operational teams, communicating the strategy with different applied pricing methodologies and their effectiveness on category/store/channel/segment levels
Ensure pricing strategies contribute towards targets in customer perception/engagement/retention as well as revenue, profitability and yield
Utilize data reporting/visualization tools to build scalable and effective reporting and understandable results to business partners.
What you will need:
3+ years of practical data science/analytics experience
Demonstrated experience in data analytics in a pricing/merchandise/promotion analytics setting
Expertise in data mining and reporting, particularly with SQL and relational databases.
1+years of technical pricing analysis experience in a retail/sales environment
Experience with Business Intelligence tools (such as PowerBI) is a plus
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science/Engineering preferred
